New Year & New Testimonial

Christmas and New Year have now been and gone, but all the same I would like to wish all my clients a very Happy New Year.

I’ve just updated the Testimonials page to include a lovely and complimentary email from a client I did some cooking for over the New Year in Northumberland.

It was freezing cold up North but well worth a visit to keep the client and her guests well fed!

Christmas Office Parties

If you’re organising the office Christmas party this year – you’ll have your hands full. Fortunately there are a few categories of dining to choose from. Whether you want a full meal, or just parts of it, you will at least have a good start for your friends and colleagues to choose from.

Canapés and nibbles are great for any office Christmas party. These are generally finger foods that give people something to nibbles as they mingle. It’s best to have these laid out on a buffet table so everyone can choose a few at time.

Soups and salads are great to start-off with if you’re having a full meal. I can easily prepare them in advance for corporate events and either cook them on site or drop them off.

Main courses come in all shapes and sizes. The range is from chicken skewers to chilli dips to sandwiches and seafood. It is always a good idea to offer variety I find as many people have varying tastes.

This is a must: a vegetarian option as some people refrain from eating meat. I can offer a good healthy, yummy, selection for both vegi’s and meat eaters alike. I can also offer foods for those with allergies, taking the very greatest of care to ensure a safe, fun evening.

Puddings: mini cakes, fruit platters, homemade brownies, cheesecakes, mince pies and Christmas puddings I can rustle-up too.

September

Welcome to September!

Many start to think of the autumn time starting to draw-in and the weather changing form. But I am looking forward to some of the best of British apples, figs, potatoes, spinach, and much more this season.

Having enjoyed indulging people this summer with the delights of fresh cherry tomatoes, crab, raspberries, it is a welcome change to do something different and aspire to something new and creative.

On the right is canapés from a cocktail party this summer.

Breakfast

Whilst on my travels in New York this summer, I had the pleasure of making a jolly good outside breakfast.

From fresh red berries, granola, yoghurt, toast, the works!

Basket food

In New York I’ve been making parmesan baskets. These consist of a dressed salad of figs and leaves. Decorated with hybicus flowers.
